Getting Started
How do I invite my co-parent?
Go to Settings > Family > Invite Co-parent. Enter their email address and we'll send them an invitation link. They'll need to create an account to join your family.
Can I use Pairently without inviting my co-parent?
Yes! You can use Pairently in 'Single Household' mode to track your own schedule and expenses. You can invite your co-parent later when you're ready.
How do I set up our custody schedule?
Go to Calendar > Settings > Custody Schedule. You can choose from common patterns (week on/week off, 2-2-3, etc.) or create a custom schedule.
Calendar & Scheduling
Can I sync with Apple Calendar or Google Calendar?
Yes! Go to Settings > Calendar Integration to connect your external calendars. Events will sync automatically in both directions.
How do I request a schedule change?
Tap on the day you want to change, then select 'Request swap.' Your co-parent will receive a notification and can approve or decline.
Can I add events that only I can see?
Yes, when creating an event, toggle 'Private event' to keep it visible only to you. Your co-parent won't see private events.
Expenses
How does expense splitting work?
By default, expenses are split 50/50. You can change the split ratio in Settings > Expenses, or set a custom split for individual expenses.
How do I scan a receipt?
When adding an expense, tap the camera icon to scan a receipt. Our OCR technology (Premium feature) will automatically extract the amount and date.
How do we settle up?
The app shows a running balance. When you're ready to settle, tap the balance amount to mark it as paid. Both parents will be notified.
Account & Billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Pairently to cancel or modify your subscription.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently delete all your data. This action cannot be undone.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings > Account > Export Data. You'll receive an email with a download link for all your data in standard formats.
